Instructional Opportunities

If you are a professor moving your course online, consider partnering with Florence Library

  • Ask our Librarian to teach a research skills through Zoom.
  • Assign your students to watch a film available through one of our streaming services, such as Kanopy or Films on Demand.
  • Increase your students' research skills by assigning the FSU Information Literacy tutorials or FSU's Plagiarism Course (certificate available upon completion).
  • Add a library assignment to explore particular databases or review literature on a topic.

Contact our Librarian to talk about the options!

Remote Resources for FSU Library Users

When you prefer to work remotely, there are many ways the Library can provide you with help and services.

You already know the library databases provide access to thousands of scholarly journals.  The pages listed on the left side of this guide contain links to databases with perhaps some lesser-known content that can be accessed remotely, such as streaming video and music, as well as eBooks and data.

Librarian-designed Research Assignments

For faculty, the Librarian is able upon request to create library research assignments that students can accomplish 100% remotely.

Online Materials and Tools

FSU Libraries have lots of digital materials available for you if you can’t make it to campus to pick up physical items.

  • FSU Libraries Search
    • Use the filters on the left-hand side of the search results screen to focus on eBooks, streaming audio or video, and other online resources.
  • Articles & Research Databases
    • We have over five hundred databases that provide access to digital articles, video, and more!
