FSU has had a study center in Florence since 1966, the year of the great flood. Our first students, along with Stanford’s, were some of the original Angeli del fango. We are very proud of our heritage and tradition in Florence, and we celebrated our 50th anniversary in 2016 and honored over 60 of our Mud Angels who returned to our Study Center for the anniversary of the flood, and a reunion, where they were honored by our current students.
