Paestum

Located an hour and half south of Naples, Paestum archeological park is a true marvel, as it not only contains 3 well-preserved ancient Greek temples from 600 to 450 BC, but also the city walls and roman amphitheatre inside. In fact walking through the ruins, students can see various aspects of life from these times, from walking along the via sacra, or main street that went through Paestum the detailed ruins of the houses that once stood.

Students will have the chance to walk along the ruins and hear the history before entering the museum and seeing the artifacts that were found, from ancient statues to frescos that give hints into their lives, from vases to armor, the museum is a veritable treasure chest of the past.
